Montblanc Writers Edition George Bernard Shaw Set Limited Edition. Writers Edition of the year 2008, of the prestigious Montblanc numbered pen series dedicated to the most famous writers, poets and writers.
This edition is dedicated to George Bernard Shaw, renowned Irish writer and thinker.
The pens are made of marbled dark green lacquer with platinum-plated metal inserts.
The Special Edition is inspired by Eliza Doolittle, Shaw's most famous character, protagonist of the comedy "Pygmalion".
Just like Eliza, the poor florist who transforms into an aristocratic lady, so the pen shows a metamorphosis along the entire platinum body that, at the height of the hood, turns into a precious dark green resin.
This deep green, marbled, also represents the lush Irish meadows so dear to the writer.
Finally, the handmade nib, in 18 carat gold, elegantly engraved with a floral pattern evokes the figure of Shaw's florist.
Set produced in 4000 pcs, composed of the fountain pen, the ballpoint pen, already on sale individually, and the unpublished 0.7 pencil available only in the triptych.
