Description
This beautiful object is a necklace with a vintage pill holder pendant made of natural iridescent mother-of-pearl shell and burnished metal frame.
This kind of accessories, very popular in the mid-twentieth century, combines the practicality of a small container (historically used both as a pill box and as a storage or rosary holder) with the elegance of a jewel to show off. The chain is enriched with round metal inserts decorated with a geometric pattern reminiscent of the classic Greek style or classically inspired ornamental words. Vintage. Made in Italy.
